223 Wylde is a hybrid of the 223 REM and 5.56. 223 Wylde has a chamber throat that is tighter than the 5.56 achieving better accuracy but still reliably functional with 5.56 ammunition.

    I bought this barrel to put on an sts lower, with an Odin Works key mod forend. Fit and finish was absolutely perfect.
    I sighted it in using a Vortex 6×24 Crossfire scope and sighted for 1 1/2″ high at 100 yds so I would have a 200yard zero. After getting it zeroed in the barrel was consistently getting 1/2″ groups.
    Subsequent to the first session I took it to the Perry, Ut. range to final zero it at 200yds. At 200 yards as expected the group opened up to 1″ with one 3 shot group coming in @ .75″. Then I shot at the 600 yd gong and after figuring out where to hold the scope (5 rounds) I was able to hit the gong the next five shots, I then ran out of ammo. BUMMER.
    This barrel from Odin works met my wildest expectations and I would recomend it highly. You won’t go wrong.
